bassrecord
My guess is that your aetone( a slovent) is not compatible with your "transparent" whatever that is lure. Maybe somebody in the Had Bait section may be of more help that fly tiers who hang here. Good luck. Bass
smallmouthaholic
I swish lead heads in acetone prior to powder painting and have no problem. Acetone is a very fast, evaporating solvent.
J & G Jigs
/profile/47540-j-g-jigs/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="47540" rel="">@J & G Jigs I use, seal coat or exterior polyurethanes, both are water based and dry quickly. They make a nice clear gloss finish. The seal coat is soft enough that it doesn't chip on rocks etc. I tried a powder topcoat and it turned into a milky looking coating. I am using this over powder paint. Good luck on the water
