Bois d'Arc
I paint for a few elite series guys and can honestly say that weekend warriors are picker about the colors they throw. The colors I paint for pro guys are some of my worst selling baits because they are run of the mill normal paint schemes. Generally speaking can you share with us? Are these patterns more real prey colors or just random colors in no particular pattern? It seems logical that colors/patterns closely resembling prey would be good ones. Just curious.
keysd13
Most popular colors I paint for Elite/Flw Level guys would include 1. A basic shad with a black back and gold scales. 2. A form of chart/black or yellow bodied pattern. 3. Bone with either green or brown on the back of the bait depending on the angler. I will say that most are picky about jerkbait colors. Lots of translucent patterns with specific back and belly colors. Makes sense to me because the fish are looking at the bait so well.
