Juice780
I'm looking for some paint that I can dip my lures for primer and for chartreuse then paint over with my air brush. I want to make my process faster by dipping the baits instead of using my air brush for primer and solid colors. I have tried some different paints but they don't coat well and run off the baits. I also use mcu for top coat so it I need something that will work with that. Thanks
RayburnGuy
A lot of the lure companies that have been around a while used to dip their wooden baits in white lacquer. They used it as both a sealer and a base coat. You'll have to make up your own mind as to whether or not using it as a sealer will meet your build criteria. If you still plan on sealing your baits with another product then I doubt that dipping your lures in white lacquer will save you much time unless your building and painting mass quantities of baits or if your painting plastic lures. saltshaker
I'd be concerned that the paint would be too thick.
woodieb8
we dip sealer then after prep dip wooden bodies into white lacquer prime. you will need to wait for drying time. with lacquers you can use any paints over them. this is not on all our apps.
