Painter1
What size wire do you prefer for a jig trailer keeper? Typical trailer is a Zoom Critter Craw on a 1/4 or 3/8 oz jig and a 2/0 or 3/0 hook.

smalljaw
.025-.026, those are the size of the stock Do-it wire keepers and I find they work pretty well. I did get some larger ones from LPO and while they did a great job I felt they were over kill, not to mention I had to cut them a little shorter. It's very simple and in-expensive to make your own and have exactly what you need.
EironBreaker
I like the small wire keepers from Shorty's and you can get them through Captain Hooks as well. Doesn't take much to hold plastics. I used to make them from a .030 wire with a hook on the end until Do-it came out with the small keepers. Worth the small expense just to drop them out of a bag and set in the mold. It is easy to modify any do-it mold to accept the wire keeper as well. smalljaw
I have made my own but it is kind of a pain, so I've tried some others and found that if I go to Captain Hooks I can buy 1000 and I'll never have to worry about it and they are just the right size.
