mark poulson
Does anyone pour a football head-shaped drop shot weight, or know of someone who sells them?

Tony Maxwell
Am curious, Why a football head?
mark poulson
Tony, I want one with the swivel coming out of the middle, like where the jig hook shank would normally come out of a football head jig. I want to put it on a jig rig, so it drags beneath the soft plastic that's on the EWG worm hook that is on the same split ring. I'm hoping the football shape will give the soft plastic even more action as I drag it across the bottom.
21xdc
I made a ton of them for my Jika rigs... They look amazing to me, But I don't think I catch any more fish. LOL

LOL Funny you say that. I was wondering how much difference it would make. I started using tear drop shaped drop shot weights, because I have a ton of them. Then I tried the ball shaped weights, and I found not much difference, too. The biggest thing for me has been finding the right weight for that day. 21xdc
I tried tear drop, bottom bouncer and many other molds like these in below pic. Edited April 3, 2015 by 21xdc
mark poulson
I think the key to the whole jika rig is have a buoyant bait, so it doesn't just flop over when it's dragged.
21xdc
Bobby at Whopper Baits makes an awesome high floating boxing craw.... I think he will make any of his baits custom color, scent, floating etc...
