camrynekai
Any idea what color glitter Yamamoto is using in his 973 Electric Shad??? I cant seem to find anything like it out there. Photo doesn't do it justice.

Frank
I thought that one too but it's to small. That bait looks like 040. Mf has a lavender that is the 040.
Bassinfool
.015 is too small but it is that glitter. Lurecraft sells a disco glitter that is similar but it isn't suited to use in plastics. Call spike it, ask for Bruce, and see if they have it in .040.
camrynekai
It is .035-.040 in size, I have the MF lavender....not quite the same and Its too opaque to be a disco glitter....if i didnt know any better it has UV glow in it. Need to get a black light and see. surly has a look all to its own.
Frank
The one from Spikeit is a hilite film. Clear when held up to the light. You said opaque so that puts out that one.
cintaskevin
Camry, let me know if you ever find this glitter. I've looked everywhere as well and can't find it. I made the mistake of buying the Disco glitter and it's definitely not that! Thank you!
Bassinfool
Yeah the disco glitter was a complete waste of money. Not only was the glitter itself a waste, all the plastic used TRYING to make it work was an even bigger waste.
cintaskevin
I agree, that Disco sh!t was horrible. Complete trash!
Bassinfool
I placed an order to spike it today and asked for a sample of theirs. If they send some I'll make up some lures and post some pictures to give you an idea of how it looks.

Bassinfool
So am I. They're located only a few hours from my house so hopefully it will ship out and be here by tomorrow so I can play around with it.
Bassinfool
So, I got the glitter and this is what Yamamoto is using, but in .040 size. The .015 is very small and subtle which may make it to where it doesn't show up in these pictures very well. Anyways, this glitter is FAR superior to the disco glitter from Lurecraft. It withstands the heat very well, even through reheats which was unexpected. Here are the pics, hope you can see the flake in these.
