smalljaw
I use a round nose pliers and I make what I call a lock-bend loop. I've been doing it fast a while and it is fast and easy but takes time to learn. I have a Hagens wire former but I found that my little blue bender is much faster for "R" bend wire form but it will also form the loop but I found round nose pliers are faster. You can be consistent with round nose, but there is a learning curve, I've been at this for 17 years and for all of them I used round nose pliers to close the loop. LimpNoodle
IMHO the Twistech is the best loop forming tool on the market. What don't you like about it? If you're forming wire larger than .037 you need the larger forming die.
champ198
I guess I haven't messed with it enough because I cannot get a consistent loop on the swivel end of my spinnerbait forms. I wasn't really wanting just a twisted loop like it does. was wanting more of just a closed loop and can not get it figured out at all
smalljaw
I'll post a link to a video I made showing how it is done with round nose pliers. Edit: I can't paste a link here, what is wrong? Edited April 28, 2015 by smalljaw
LimpNoodle
Twistech won't do a closed loop. It does a barrel twist to finish off the loop.
