jonister
If your fishing for stocked trout just about any rod/reel will work fine but usually anything light is best. just use fairly light mainline. Their a lot of fun to fish for especially with light gear. Good Luck!
JRammit
Make sure the reel has an instant anit reverse... Those little boogers are pros at nibbling bait off your hook, so any edge you can get on hook sets is a plus, that 9' rod will help, and the fiberglass will be better suited than graphite for the tiny hooks youll be using.... So, yea, that one'll get the job done
