RickB
I have been working with createx for some time and I am looking to expand my paint line-up,has anyone tried the water based taxidermy paints, they have so many more color options, thanks Edited May 3, 2015 by RickB
BobP
Sure, taxidermy acrylics work just fine. I use about 50/50 Createx and taxidermy paint and I like the taxidermy because they have colors, pearls, and flakes that you just don't see in standard color airbrush paints. Personally, I prefer to squeeze paint into the brush and fire away without mixing custom colors or thinning paint - the taxidermy colors usually come ready to shoot so that makes them very convenient.

Bois d'Arc
Anbody using Wildlife Colors? It looks like a good product??
BobP
Yeah, Smith Wildlife is my favorite taxidermy brand due to their consistency. Some taxidermy paint companies are small, not huge like Createx, so you may not get consistent formulations of paint bottle-to-bottle all the time. But Wildlife Colors has been consistent for me.
MarkSpolarich
I used to use a lot of the taxidermy paints, all brands, and love them. You have to careful because most are much thinner than Createx. Be prepared to start a few baits over after blasting paint everywhere...... Like has been stated already, you can really expand your colors by using them with little to know need for mixing.
