Stock's Lures
Other than do-it's molds, what is the best Senko imitating mold out there?
Dink Mendez
I have Delmart molds for years and I love them. However; getting the molds is a different story.
MonteSS
Del-Mart is very close to real Senko
Travis
Its a cigar shape slab of plastic....... do it or dels for best look alike. As far as how they preform I have used about every one out there and it becomes much more about the guy pouring, injecting the bait. Many of the ones I have purchased to test out don't have the same action as the senko because of the way they were poured and weight distribution. I know it was done that way because it fishes better. I have ordered plenty from guys that had plastic way to hot and they were largely tail weighted. I use Del's stick molds when I pour.

MonteSS
stick-4 cavity They come hand pour or injection. Call Lurecraft and see if they have any left or buy used. DO NOT order it from Del-mart as it will take forever or never arrive at all. Edited May 9, 2015 by MonteSS
Travis
Stick as suggested above. I think most of them are fine if weighted corrected. There have been a few I that to me weren't as good but they had proportions incorrect in regards to circumference and length. .Even when not it might not matter to some guys depending on what they are wanting in the bait. I have Del's stick molds because frankly at the time no one came close to making a mold near as good. I would have no issues with the Do it mold however and it is correct. scootermsp
I just used my new 5" Do-it Senko for the first time last night. Aside from a couple with air bubbles (my first soft baits ever made), I am excited to fish these! I did 4 oz of plastisol, a few drops of softener and stabilizer. I did 5 drops of Purple, red glitter, silver glitter, and just a pinch of Pearl powder. On the reheat for the second batch I added some plastisol but no more color. Added more glitter though. The second batch came out great too. More translucent. I over pressured with the injector and had a small mild blowout which resulted in a bit of trimming. I've already learned the range now of injector pressure to strike that balance between voids and trimming. I love this hobby! I thank you all again for your info and help. Reading these forums has allowed me to get fishable Senkos on my first try! You guys rock. I also have a Do-it laminate plate for the Senko mold. I'll get to that after I've gotten the basics down. Enjoy your Sunday folks.
