JRammit
Spent my last 2 weekends off taking a big chunk out of the "honey do list"... Done plenty of DIY's in the past, but this was my first shower... Had to show it off! Now i can get back to building baits!
Vodkaman
Indonesian houses don't have showers or hot water. My shower is a bucket and pan, same as everyone else, except I heat the water. Dave

Vodkaman
Fridges are rarely seen. I bought one for MIL, she put it in the living room where all the visitors could see it. All that was in it for the first couple of years was a bottle of coke, so I could have a cold drink when I visited. She's getting the hang of it now. Never seen a microwave in an Indonesian house, food mixer/blender, or to save me making a long list, anything electrical in the kitchen. They all have TV's, DVD players and the latest handphones. Computers, a few. Internet cafe's are closing down because everyone gets internet on their pads. So, in some ways extremely basic, in others right up to date - strange place! mohawkman
Good stuff, Dave. I was almost late for work due to me reading the other stories. Loved the bit on "The Chicken Pesterer". Brandon
JRammit
Good stuff! Wheres the shower attatchment? Man, almost sounds like another planet over there.... Probably has its advantages though... In the midsts of the simplicity, a man could probably do well working a simple 40 hr a week job, or less...... Meanwhile across the ocean, the illusion we have of "necessity", we pay for with our time, working our lives away....Time being the one and only thing in life you can never get back...... Only used the 3D feature twice. I've had it for a year and a half. Shoot, I rarely even watch tv. Only have it on for background noise. JRammit
Im still rockin the ol tube TV... Which is ironic for me, cause years ago i installed satellite dishes and surround sound sytems.... But nowadays, i can think of plenty better things to spend money on! Vodkaman
Mohawkman - glad you liked the stories. There are a lot more on that site, some of them multi page epics. Dave
