bmann Posted May 27, 2015 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 I have been reading here for awhile now. I have decided to try to build my own spinnerbaits. A local guy built some that were really good. He's passed on and his baits can't be bought any longer. I'm looking for skirt material that is flat. It looks like a rubber band. Haven't been able to find any yet. Also looking for a spinnerbait mold. The kind I'm wanting to duplicate looks like the banana spinnerbait mold but it had bug eyes instead of recessed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The skirt material that was on those baits is something called "Flatline Rubber", you can get it from www.fishingskirts.com in the skirt material section under rubber. You spinnerbait guy either had a custom made or he simply used 3D eyes on the banana spinnerbait, it is hard to tell unless we could see the bait.
