SlowFISH
I put the thermo coupling from the pid and place it so it touched the heating element. Don't know if that was best , but if I set it to 350 the element runs to that setting. That's a really smart idea - takes some of the issues of the amount of plastic in the cup out of the equation. I recently hooked up a PID to my presto - might see if touch off on the bottom instead of having it a few millimeters above the bottom in the plastic helps. J. Dink Mendez
I started using Lee pot back in 1998- once Lee pot went over seas for the heating control- I took a friends advice and purchase STA-WARM pots. I had them since 2004 and work great.
Geegeebaits
This bait was poured from a Lee pot. I have been pouring baits for years using these pots and yes they are tricky to say the least. You can purchase pots with small holes in the spouts and purchase pots with the regular hole size too. You can make very thin veins using the small hole pot as shown in this 4-inch bait. Edited July 19, 2015 by Geegeebaits

Man, if I can pour something anywhere close to those, I'll be thrilled!
