Fatman
I know Barlows sells 1/8 teflon pins for a FG-30 and a 5/32nd for FG-40 fiber guards, does anyone carry teflon pins for a FG-9 or FG-12 fiber guard??? Have a buddy that has moded a mold for the 9 and 12 fiber guards and was looking for teflon pins.
Yo Al
You can get Teflon wire from www.contenti.com and cut it to length. Some industrial supply places also carry it but small diameters aren't carried by most of them. I don't know why the lure parts suppliers don't sell small pins. smalljaw
I use tool steel pins for the smaller sizes because I could not find Teflon in that diameter. I went to speedy metals and got 5/64" rod and for the FG-9 I simply cut the head and point off of a 1/16" finishing nail. The steel doesn't work as well as the Teflon but it is the only option available.
LimpNoodle
As Yo Al said Contenti has Teflon wire in some very small diameters. I use the 1/16th or .0625 when I paint worm weights for use as lure bodies.
Munkin
I know they make it because I bought some off a member here. Allen
Oldfart9999
I bought 5/64th from Graingers relatively cheap and cut them into 1 inch lengths, they pull out as easily as teflon. Just look for drill rod. Rodney
fshng2
Could drill rod sprayed with graphite mold release work? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/763758/frankford-arsenal-drop-out-bullet-mold-release-agent-and-lube-6-oz-aerosol
PaJay
I just searched EBay and there are lots of choices. It's been a while but I got 6 12" pieces for $5.99 free shipping. I can't remember the seller. It's been about 2 years though. I just cut the Teflon to 1" pieces. I got a pile of them now and they're still working great.
