codymartin
I made my first soft plastic lures, everything went well till I removed them from the mold And they turned out to be very flimsy and soft. I let the mold set for 15 minutes at a time and that didn't work. I thought maybe I should try some hardener?
Jig Man
The first thing you should do is mix your plastisol well. The hardner settles to the bottom.

Stock's Lures
Mix it until you think is it so mixed you can't mix it any more, and then mix it again.
bflp
I've found they tend to harden up if you let them sit a few days after you pour them. Right out of the mold they are softer
JRammit
You probably did this, but make sure virgin plastisol reaches 350 on the initial heat.... Chemical reactions and what not Also a water bath after demolding will cool the baits quicker and help keep their shape.... Just let em float a while, but not over night or they become cloudy Edited July 13, 2015 by JRammit
basspatrol
From what i have learned here. Don't shake your plastisol box vigorously which might cause bubles in the longer run. Just turn the box couple times daily. That should mix the hardener that settled in the bottom after couple days and before use. Also don't throw your mushy stuff out. save it in a ziplock and use a small portion whenever you can That is what i learned in this great community so far . ** cheers
