gone2long
Yes there are a couple different paint systems, water based which needs to be dipped in clear plastic after painting then there is the solvent paints I have no experience with that line but I've read that they are ready to fish without the dipping, go over to Ispikeit they have all that stuff and a bit of a description regarding them. gone2long
thanks.....do you know any sites where to buy any of the unpainted baits? Predator baits has nice quality stuff and good prices, I've tried the Chinese knockoffs and they were horrible with the exception that they are very good for practice baits. no_connectivity
What type of clear would you dip them in after painting with water based paint. It may seem like an ignorant question but I mainly do hard swimbaits and this is uncharted territory for me.
Apdriver
You can dip in your regular plastisol but run a chance of it going off color with multiple reheats. If you want something that's manufactured for dipping, spike it makes a clearasol that's good. If you have a bunch to do, I recommend it. Just a few, maybe use what you have.
