Rowhunter
I can not speak for for Polytranspar or Lifetone paints as I have not used them, but HOK is the only paint that I use. All lacquer systems I'm sure are similar, the main difference is color selection. The first two offer a nice selection of Natural colors and HOK offers over the top custom colors. I blend primary colors to get my naturals, then I'll use metallics, pearls and transparent paint to get depth. Custom color paint jobs In Solar Gold metallic covered with Candy Brandywine, Cobalt Blue or Snow White Pearl are made very easy with HOK. Cougarftd
Life tone is the lacquer version of some of the paint and hydromist is the water based version,I use lifetones and like it a lot
benton B
Lifetone and polytranspar are taxidermy paints so the colors will be for reproductions of animals and fish. I only use water based paints but taxidermy paint from polytranspar and wildlife colors are the best of the different paints I've tried.
