Ichthus
So I've recently heard of people taking off the split rings between the blade and eye of the jig (the split rings are there after Zman came after the companies claiming their patent of the chatterbait) and they open the eye of the bait, and directly attach the blade. My question is what is the best way to open up the eye?

Walking Dead
Heavy wire hooks, a punch, hammer, anvil or hard item. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Use the split ring, pour spinner bait heads and cut/bend wire to attach the blade. Example on fishing skirts.com (not my idea but works well).
