cadman
I buy all my bulk hooks from Shorty's Hook Sales or Captain Hooks which is affiliated with Shorty's Hooks. You won't find any better prices anywhere else. The only thing they don't carry is Owner hooks. Owner has very tight reins on their hook pricing. You can however buy hooks direct from Owner, as their prices are comparable with Barlows and everyone else, and their shipping prices are usually less. Walking Dead
Key is bulk. Create a CooP with other makers. Buy and split. Example, a Trokar is around a $1.00 in small quantities, .54 by a 1000.
BLT
IF you have a tax number, for Mustad and Gammy hooks only, buy bulk at Sea Mar tackle distributers. Cheaper than the other places mentioned. They will insist you fax a copy of your tax numbers. They are also the maker of Fin Strike fishing tackle. They have just about anything you will need to make rigs also. Swivels, snaps, perlon stick leader, beads, even surgical tubing for making Striper rigs. A friend wanted a box of 1000 the one Mustad 3x's strength jig hooks in 8/0, forget what model number, but it was almost $45 cheaper than shortys or captain hooks. BLT
Thank You very much for the info, and I thought I new the best places. LOL Good find. Only issue I have had of late, mustad isn't keeping up with demands it would seem, and I wish they would carry other hooks like Eagla Claw.
