Scottyice
I bought some wire to build my first spinnerbaits, but I think I screwed up and got the wrong type. I bought Bend-and-Stay 302/304 Stainless Steel Wire .32 and .38 diameter. Both types of wire are wound up and stored in a small spool and they seem to flexible to use for a Spinnerbait. What type of wire should I use? Thanks for the help guys!

smalljaw
You don't want that type of wire, I buy coils of torsion straightened .032" diameter stainless for 1/4oz and .035" for all the others. .32 and .38 are way too big to fit in any mold. What you want to get is AFW-Hi Seas (American Fishing Wire) stainless steel coils in range from .032" to .041" diameters, that range is what is normally used for spinnerbaits from 1/4oz to 3/4oz and it can be purchased direct or you can go to LPO, Barlows, or Janns Netcraft and get it.
