Ike364
Hello guys...I'm new to the site.. I'm looking to see if anyone has the color combination for Strike Kings green pumpkin? The issue I'm having is if you look at it, it looks like watermelon and hold it up to the light it looks like a light version of green pumpkin? Thanks guys! Painter1
There are a number of colorants named green pumpkin. Spike-It sells several colors that, either straight, or mixed, may get you what you want. Add some watermelon if needed, and go slow adding colorant. The plastic you use can make a difference also, so recipes may need to be adjusted.
jeffhill
Sometimes it is almost impossible to match a color exactly. The plastic the big companies use has a yellowish brown cast to it. More than likely this is why it appears to be a different color with light shining through it.
jeffhill
Watermelon brown dye might help you get closer to matching it. It has a slight green pumpkin cast to it. If you don't have that, try adding some light brown or pumpkinseed along with the watermelon. Hope this helps.

MonteSS
As said watermelon brown. I think mine is the old Caney Creek stuff.
DaveMc1
Spikeit's greenpumpkin 109 and play around with the concentrations until you get it. it is nearly identical in shade when you hold the 2 up to the light (the green pumpkin dream shot)
mark poulson
And remember adding salt or flake will change the color, too. Edited September 1, 2015 by mark poulson
FATFLATTIE
I was moderately successful recreating their blue craw color by adding 16 drops X2 green pkn green colorant 1 drop of x2 colorant black/blue flake to taste and some blue highlight. It isn't exact but it's close and I have caught plenty of fish on it. Sorry forgot to add that was per 8oz of plastic.
Ike364
Thanks guys. I did see some color formulas listed in the forum that mentioned either adding a bit of brown or pumpkin to the mix. Thanks again for the info everyone!!!
