SLT785
Yes, I use a dremel tool plus hand sand to get my contours.
Ichthus
My advice from one high schooler to another here Bbob, Is if you wanna do a swim bait mold, mold each section seperately and have them sit right side up, this makes ballasting and making vent holes easier and cleaner. Alumalite has a great starter kit but it comes with some unnecessary stuff like instructions cuz I never read those and an excessive amount of clay lol. But I would probably go with the foam to start since it gives you consistent buoyancy and start with one simple bait before you go on to your swimbait to get the feel for how the stuff works (learned that one the hard way)

Vodkaman
Ichthus - that is sound advice; start on something simple and learn. Dave
SW Lures
I have just now design a bait that I have been working on. Being new to carving cranks, I going to read and learn from some of the best about this subject. I believe my design will be one for this type of a process in the future. I'm a journey type myself, but to create a design to mass produce for selling, this is another journey to start later. Keep giving out the knowledge, Dale
