mark poulson
I have had several bags of the Elaztech craws for a year now, and decided to try them as jig trailers again recently. I had used them before and they worked fine. When I opened the bags of both the pearl white and the watermelon/red flake, the claws have come off or were weak and ready to come off when I tried to use them. Is this typical of what happens to those baits? I also had a bag of Big Bite rib worms come apart at the joints in the worms, and have no idea why that happened, either. I used them both last year and they were fine.

mark poulson
I have very old elaztech and they are all fine Drat! So it's just me! Hahaha I thought I had been careful when I handled them, not to let them touch any plastisol baits, but I did take one of each bait off the lure I was using, and put them back in the bag, so maybe I "contaminated" them, making this another case of operator error on my part. I use a wormizer to remelt/repair my soft plastic baits. Can this be done with Elaztech? Edited September 20, 2015 by mark poulson
mark poulson
After I posted this question here, I called Elaztech, and left them a message, basically saying the same thing I said here. Today, someone from Elaztech returned my call, The guy I spoke to told me I had the first generation of their baits, which had developed problems. He said they had redesigned the molds to thicken the attachment point between the body and the claws. It was really nice of him to offer to replace them, and they are replacing both bags of baits, X2. plus another bag of their version of the Speed Craw. That is really customer service! So it does pay to call the manuf. if you have a problem. And I did find out, by trying, that their plastic can not be heat welded, and Mend It soft plastic glue doesn't mend it, either.
