AKFerzy7
Looking for other options for snaps that will work with the vibrating jig blades sold by lpo without modifying the blade. Has anyone found anything stronger than a size 2 duolock that will work? Thanks.
smalljaw
If you find the duo lock snaps aren't strong enough, then try the Owner Hyper Welded Quick Snaps.
AKFerzy7
I tried the owner snagless snap and no size would fit. Only thing besides a size 2 duolock ive gotten to work was the largest size mustad fastach snap but bent it bad and dont remember what i did apparently because i cant get another one onto a blade. Ill order a pack of a few sizes of quick snaps as well as some other ideas.
AKFerzy7
Im really happy with this bait after finding the perfect split ring but i throw it on 50 lb braid and have had a snap bust open and lost the jig and blade on either a big striper or catfish. The old split rings i was using were fine wire and wouldnt take too big of a bass to straighten one, would quickly rust after use and now ive found the extra play they had inside the hook eye was allowing the blade to flip around and bind ruining casts. If anyone is making bladed/vibrating jigs that are connected via split ring they should try the owner hyper wire split ring in size 3. Once i upgraded the ring and seen how better the bait runs im really wanting to strengthen the next weakest link. Ill post updates as i figure new out new stuff incase anybody is interested. smalljaw
The snagless snap is different but if they didn't work what about the Owner Hyper Crosslock Snap? The lowest rated one is 70lb test, it sounds like you need extreme as you are using 50lb braid. Is 30lb braid too thin?

Jeff Hahn
I don't know what they are called, but they were used on Hellbenders and the old style Bombers. I bet they would work on a vibrating jig. But, I have never had a problem withthe #2 snap.
