emptystringer81
Just wondering what plastisol everyone uses? Im kind of new to making plastics and have tried the Bass tackle MF, and the essential medium from doit. Im almost out of it and need to order another gallon. The only thing I don't like about the essential is it is not as soft as I want it and it don't float very well. I want something soft and floats good. I know the essential can be heated pretty high but just want to see whats out there before I spend around 50 bucks on another gallon. The Dutchman
I have always used MF Super Soft because it doesnt cake like some I have tried.. Does Baitjunky's settle? Would like to try it but not if it settles.
Apdriver
Depends on what you mean by settle. Any liquid with suspended solids will, over time, stratify or separate. All you have to do to re suspend it is rock it back and forth. It does not hard pack if that's what you are referring to. Also, this stratification in my experience takes months. alsworms
MF was the only brand I used that didn't settle......or hard pack (significantly)........if that helps. It might require a little shaking over time, but that's nothing compared to some other brands I tried through the years. I have a few gallons that have been sitting in my shop for a few years and they still look the same as the day I purchased them.

DaBehr
Essential from Do-it... I add a couple drops of softener for my panfish baits. Regular for bass baits.

Big Ray
Yeah Baitjunkys soft is really good. It is cheaper than the other brands and I noticed that it doesn't yellow. I don't know about other guys but all the plastic I have ever bought from them doesn't really float. I am starting to think that it doesn't really matter if it floats or not.

ipt
I've used all the top big names, they are all pretty similar. That being said, I use BJ. Leonard is easy to get ahold of and easy to deal with. He also breaks his down into gallon jugs which helps keep them mixed well.

Didn't have the problem with MF, but with other brands I would transfer into 1 gallon jugs and that helped a bunch!
