Senkosam
Unless I'm throwing in a few large black flakes into a fine or medium glitter mix, small glitter usually goes with small lures such as grubs and short plastics. Even larger sticks are usually sold with medium and small glitter mixes or alone. I like the tiny red-glitter sheen in a watermelon/seed stick or lizard. Grubs are especially better looking if fine or medium, hex glitter is used versus medium or large square glitter (.040 or .062). There's no doubt that square glitter works, but the average angler/customer is used to seeing hex glitter in his favorite brands. For a 3" grub, .008 or .015 is large enough; for 4" grubs and shads, .040 and .015 is good; for 5" grubs and tubes, .040 and .062 works. For 10" lizards, 6" sticks and 11" worms, large glitter is fine, as well as when you want more flash, color and contrast as attractors - even in 4"-5" sticks. (Looks like big carp scales and works in Senkos!) Sam
