The Dutchman
Wally World no longer carries 2 ton. Every place around here does not carry it. Where are you getting it? Thanks
mohawkman
I get mine at Ace Hardware.
psilvers
Tower Hobbies has 9 oz (combined) for $12.79. Sorry - I can't seem to paste the link. You can go to www3.towerhobbies.com and search for it. Pete
psilvers
Here it goes: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXC026&P=ML If you want it locally, just look around at a local hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. The Tower Hobbies size is pretty big. Apdriver
Like some of the others here, I can't find it local. Order it off Internet.

Amazon also has the Devcon. http://smile.amazon.com/2-ton-epoxy-two-Oz-Bottles/dp/B005K091ZU/ref=pd_sim_21_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=0B5G7MZCPT9E5GTMJAG1&dpID=41iMmDIN6ZL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_ Edited October 13, 2015 by LimpNoodle

nedyarb
Bob Smiths 30 minute epoxy works just as well. Hobby Lobby carries it
SW Lures
I'm the same way, I can't find it anywhere local. I get mine off of Amazon. But I'm looking into other alternatives for my jigs, spoons, spinners and cranks. Dale

psilvers
For those of you who use Envirotex Lite - if you get on the mailing list (email) for Michaels they often have coupons for 20-40% off. That will save you some bucks - especially if you buy the larger size, which is close to $40. www.michaels.com Pete
smalljaw
Check ACE hardware stores, some of them have it but not all of them. Home Depot or Lowes do not carry any Devcon products, at least that is what the managers told me when I asked if they can get it in. I get it from a small ACE hardware store but they don't always have it so I'm forced to buy it on Amazon and then I buy like 6 tubes. Centigrade
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for asking this question but is anyone having issues with devcon not sealing on rigid areas around eyes or gills. I can touch it up but I don't want to do a full second coat.
Vodkaman
It is a well known fact that Devcon two ton (D2T) epoxy does not like sharp corners. It has been written about many times here on TU. Dave
JRammit
I didnt know that either until i read a thread a while back about Ratl-traps... Which is something on my to do list to make, cause i love that bait! Dick Nite MCU would be my go to for a project like that... I havnt used it yet, but theres more than enough reading material here to get familiar with it
Centigrade
If water gets to the paint on those sharp edges will the water seep under the devcon and peel off the lure?
Vodkaman
Correct - the D2T does not have a good bond to the paint layer and it will separate. If you round the sharp edges slightly, things will improve. Dave
Centigrade
I have recently switched to evirotex lite and have been doing 2 coats instead of 1 of the devcon. I like the working time and the dry wheel seems to work but still the sharp edge issue. I guess I'll be sanding a lot more around the gills of the s-crank. Seems to only be the gills I have this problem. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
mark poulson
Clear nail polish from the dollar store works, and doesn't chip off. Just be sure to have ventilation and/or a respirator.
Centigrade
I work indoors with friendly products since it -30 in Canada right now. I'm attempting to round edges more with sanding sponge
