Slammingjack
http://www.lurecraft.com/Plastic-Mold-869/productinfo/5X869/ This bait has caught Three reds two rats and a slot. A 17 # AJ. Last but not least 10.5# LM Bass. It is a very easy mold to pour. Only cost $12.55 It is a open pour silicone mold. MF has a 2.5" shad Caught lots of fish. Flatties, Sea trout crappies and small LM Bass. Only $9.95 It's a hard poly. mold Not as easy to pour. Need to pour it thin and slow. So it will fill with out voids. But you can fish it anyway you want Slow, fast and that tail will swim. Hope that helps.
robn510
i use top pour molds, basically modeled/modified other makers swimbaits to get what i wanted. For full bodies (i used a few very modified optimum baits swimbaits) i like 5, 6 & 8" size swimbaits used with a weighted ewg hook and a stinger, basically the sizes of our local smelt, sardine and anchovy when i chop the heads and add a jig head i like 4, 5 and 6" baits. similar to fishtrap/hammer types. Slots add a good place for scents but ive found its also a weak point in lures if you plan to use them with a jighead. i made mine with a shallow groove so they dont tear as easily and the shapes trasition well to the jighead sizes i use. I also have a few commercially available swimbait molds but after going gung ho on them and finally realizing i wasnt really happy with the action (not enough thump, stubby, dont match the jig head profile ect..) i ended up selling the unused baits on ebay and making my own molds. molds are pretty easy to make yourself...
