Stumped
Anyone have a particular 4" swimbait mold that they fancy the best?
DaBehr
The Do-it 3.75" Essentials Series swim bait produced a lot of nice bass for me this year. And at $30 for a 3 cavity mold you can't beat the price!
Skimpy
I have the essentials series swim shad also !!!! Super good deal for only around $30.

RSullivan
Thanks! But my anti-virus software is reporting the ultra molds site is infected with a virus. I will wait awhile to see if ultra molds cleans it up.
gone2long
HaHa sorry to hear that but I'm not surprised you must be running a windows operating system I have since moved to a mac albeit more expensive I no longer have these issues. i.e. was giving me fits locking up and all sorts of crap and I figured I would load up windows 10 but it would not load on my laptop that was only 5 years old so I gave up. MuskyGary
Does it have to be exactly 4 inches? BassTackle has a ton of swimbait molds from 3 1/2 to 4 1/2.
Apdriver
Baitjunkys has a 4" swimbait. I have this mold and have caught a lot of fish on it. You can order it top inject for laminates. Shoots great, every time. Here's a pic of bait and mold.
Cami
Apdriver, really beatiful baits. I was wondering: did you realise these pictured laminates with this mold (vertical cutting of figures), or did you use another one with an horizontal cutting of figures, please? Thank you in advance for your kind reply. Bye. Cami
MonteSS
You need a twinjector for the BJ. Lam plate wont work obviously. Great mold and baits
Walking Dead
Ap and Monte are spot on. Great little 4 in her with versatility. Trailer on SB, chatter bait, A Rig, swivel jig, swim jig. Even put it on a shaky head. Great action. B J has a vid link on the site if you want to see the tail action.

RSullivan
MuskyGary. Yes, it needs to be 4". As I stated there is no rhyme or reason for this other than I am anal! ApDriver: Thanks. though I do not like the rings on it I will purchase it if I cannot find what I am looking for. I am looking for a mold that is more like a Yum Money Minnow. RSullivan
gone2long: BTW. Bitdefender 2016 is the anti-virus software that I use on my PC's. This is a very popular anti-virus software. It runs on Windows, Android and IOS. It is Bitdefender that is reporting that the http://ultramolds.com web site is not safe (infected with a virus). This is not specific to my PC. This has nothing to do with operating system. I have submitted the URL to Bitdefender for analysis. If it is in fact a false positive they will fix it within 24 hours. I have also found a voice number for ultra molds and have informed them that Bitdefender is reporting their site as unsafe. There are not that many mold cutters out there and I would hate to have one get hurt financially because people are not going to there web site.
Basseducer
Bob's makes a nice 4" swimbait. Here is a link http://www.btsmolds.com/swim-bait/4-swim-bait-with-hook-slot

ApDriver: Thanks. though I do not like the rings on it I will purchase it if I cannot find what I am looking for. I am looking for a mold that is more like a Yum Money Minnow. Bob had one called a bug eyed minnow that is 4". And if you get it, it is the money minnow!!!
RSullivan
Thanks all. Basseducer: Thanks for the link. It looks better to me than the bait junkies. Frank: I cannot find one called 'bug eyed minnow'. I have emailed BTS to see if they still make it.
Walking Dead
Look under the group "shads". I have some of these. Found it a better bait to shoot without the plate that makes the hook slot. Makes a solid bait. Have to be carefull as the plastic will come up through the other hole. Won't shoot Lams well this way. You will have to do some trimming if you shoot it this way. RSullivan
Walking Dead: Aha! I was looking at just the 'swim baits'. I did not look under group 'shads'. I am a little slow, what do you mean that 'Won't shoot lams well this way'? Do you mean that it does not shoot lams well if one does not use the 'plate' that makes the hook slot? Frank: It is the 'Bug Eyed Shad'. Thanks All.
Basseducer
You can have them make a plate that does not protrude into the bait cavity, this will shoot solid baits and you can switch back and forth. You can also make your own.

Frank: It is the 'Bug Eyed Shad'. Thanks All. Yes it is. And when I said it is the money minnow, it is. He was the original designer of that bait. The plate he is talking about makes the hook slot. If you leave it out the cavitys cross over where the plate goes. If you want a solid bait then the 632 from Basstackle is the one. It does not laminate in the 8 cavity mold but makes a great bait. Same as the money minnow.
RSullivan
Thanks Frank. I got the 632 8 cavity. You are right, it is the Money Minnow.
