BobP Posted December 21, 2015 Report Share Posted December 21, 2015 I use VMC trebles and cut them open with some wire cutters, then bend them closed with pliers. Whether you can cut a treble eye open depends on the temper of the steel. VMC's work fine because the temper is not very hard.
