Jig Man
Is one of the colors that I don't have and haven't used much when I buy baits. However, it was a good color for me in "store bought" baits this fall. I really don't need to buy any supplies now and hate to buy one bottle of colorant and pay more for the shipping than the colorant. So is there a formula for watermelon that I can use to make up some baits? Thanks in advance.
jeffhill
Green pumpkin mixed with a medium green works pretty well. I suppose a touch of brown mixed with a bright green would work, too.
Walking Dead
Google a color wheel. Primary colors are red, blue, yellow. Yellow and blue in equals will make a green. Moore yellow will give you a lighter color. Assuming you have a version of the primary colors. Thinning the GP should lighten up to a WM. FATFLATTIE
I use 12 drops of watermelon green X2, 8 drops of lurecraft kudzu, and one drop black X2 per cup of plastic. I really like the dark watermelon color I get and the Kudzu just makes it "p0p" if that makes sense. It was a little dull till I added the Kudzu to the mix. Bassinfool
Do you have any of the older lurecraft colorants? I made a formula using their old watermelon, green pumpkin, natural and lime green that looks great.

Bassinfool
Good deal. In all fairness, the old watermelon isn't really a watermelon color it's a weird Hulk/nuclear waste green

Frank
Funny how people take color as if it were a set standard. Saying watermelon does not mean it is a standard color. Never seen two that are the same so what color are you really going to get? You may say it's watermelon because you have never seen any other color. But in fact what you think is watermelon may not be what you get. Same with many many other colors. Most Manufacturers can't even get the same color cinsistant everytime. And they make large batches which is harder to get wrong than a small batch. I am sure the color you get will be some version of watermelon.
