psilvers
I have been using WTP eyes for years and I haven't had a problem. However, I see that Do-It also offer eyes, and it may be easier for me to go with the Do-It eyes. Does anyone have any experience with the Do-It eyes? If so, how do they compare with thw WTP eyes? Thanks, Pete
BLT
I don't know how many you need, but if it is a lot, you can order by the roll direct from WTP Edited January 5, 2016 by BLT
smalljaw
Judging from the price (2X more) I'd be willing to bet these are WTP. Most lure supply vendors sell WTP eyes, the only time you find different is from Boggs baits, Boss outdoors, and the ebay stores. Those other places sell cheap eyes which have terrible adhesive, it is so bad that when you coat with epoxy the eyes will move and often fall off so you have to add a drop of glue to make them stick.
psilvers
Thanks BLT and Smalljaw. I have been buying my eyes at Bass Pro and Cabela's because I am not making them commercially. Pete
BLT
What size you looking for? I have some I may be able to give up, but they are mostly in the larger sizes.
psilvers
BLT, I have been using the WTP eyes in the smaller to medium sizes for conventional jigs, but I have been using some HUGE eyes that I bought from some folks here for ear ball lures. I will check on the sizes and get back to you Pete
BLT
I make those ball jigs mostly in the 6 and 8oz. range. I do have some eyes for the 2,3 & 4oz I don't use much any more. Could probably let some of them go. Out of the 5 different size jigs on that mold, I only use 3 different size eyes.
