Bassinfool
I use bead media. 1/2 cup soft plastic, 2 tablespoons bead media. No softener. Works great, really durable.
MonteSS
I never use salt anymore as Beads are so much better. But the OP asked for a Senko formula Powdered salt works well but colors look like crap. Popcorn or pickling salt gets a lil clearer bait. Both of these are very weak baits. Beads make a very clear bait with bright colors and flake shows well. Baits are more durable. Best of both worlds. They will scratch your injector piston tho. My sticks weigh 11g. archery1
I also use the beads. usually 4 teasp. per cup will keep u in the 10 gram weight. i use about 4-5 drops of softner to my medium plastic per cupLike monte said they scratch injectors so i have 2 injectors just for stiks and baits that take media . Seems like the media wears out orings also but the media makes a fine bait and very durable. The colors come out way better...

smallmouthaholic
Also, now to think of it, best place and size of media? I mix reptile sand (from PETCO- it's the whitest, finest sand you'll ever find on the planet)) & ultra-fine salt from Bear's-50/50(you may want a modified % of each in the mix.) 1-2 TBL. per cup of plastisol to your desired sink rate. The finer the salt/sand mix- the stronger the worm. I tried powdered salt but didn't care for the color change associated w/it.Salt and sand will stiffen up the worm a bit so soft plastisol is recommended and some softener may be required in your mix.Hold your finished product( by the tip of the head) and an original Senko side by side w/ your index finger and thumb to compare their flexibility. Now all you have to do is experiment w/ the aforementioned info that took a great deal of time to develop over the years. Good luck and have fun EDITED TO ADD: My salt/sand mix has never scratched my internal injector or quad "O" rings Edited January 11, 2016 by smallmouthaholic
mark poulson
I've been injecting for two years, as a hobbyist only. I spray my injector with PAM between shots, and I have no scratching or O ring problems, so far.
