Jig Man
Why not just go to www.fishingskirts.com and look a what they have to offer. There is no set way to do them.
smalljaw
Half the fun of doing this is creation, make your own PB&J pattern. For jigs that are one color like green pumpkin or brown I like to use different shades of the colors together so the jig stays that color but has a mottled appearance. For a 50 strand skirt I'll use a tab of straight brown, a tab of natures edge brown and maybe 10 strands of barb wire or tiger tracs brown, and the same thing for green pumpkin. For a bona fide recipe for PB&J I'll give you mine and this is for 50 strands, I use 1 tab of half wire PB&J- number 233, 1 tab of solid brown barbed wire- number 178, 5 strands of brown jelly-number 230, and 5 strands of metallic purple-number 618. It may sound funny but nobody else has this and that is the point, to make it your own. The way I make the skirt is I use 233 as the base and on 1 side I put 2 strands of 618 and 3 strands of 230 and on top of that I put half a tab of 178. The the other side gets 3 strands of 618 and 2 strands of 230 and on top of that you put half of a tab of 178 and your skirt is done. EDIT: The numbers are from fishingskirts online catalog.
