mark poulson
http://fishingtackleretailer.com/end-of-an-era-uncle-josh-to-discontinue-pork-products/ I hope this is the right forum to post this on. I figured jig makers are also jig fishermen. Edited January 11, 2016 by mark poulson
cadman
Heard this on several forums. With the use of plastics now-a- days and the problem Uncle Josh is having trying to get good pig hide, sadly it was just a matter of time. Good product back in the day. I was always one of those guys that forgot to leave the bait in the water when you aren't fishing it or putting it back in the jar when you were done at days end. Once it dried, you had to throw away the pork trailer.

I figured jig makers are also jig fishermen. That sucks. I've caught a lot of nice fish using Uncle Josh pork trailers on jigs. Used to love the #10 pork frog on the back of a 1/4 or 5/16 ounce jig during the pre-spawn. Those big females loved the slow fall that setup produced. MuskyGary
I got a old tackle box with about 50 jars of pork baits in it. I'd better keep them, could be worth something in the future!

gone2long
Crazy aint it, was a time not too long ago when that raw product couldn't be given away now it's called pork rind and sold as a snack
Musky Glenn
Best jig trailer I ever used was their black split tail trailer or eel, or whatever they called it.
Tronicsman
What a bummer! They were a favorite. I caught many a bass on them.
