Jj7leaf
Wondering if anyone has had their paint freeze and if there was anything that needs to be done other than intense shaking/ mixing?
mark poulson
Water based paints shouldn't be affected by freezing, as long as you thaw them out and shake them well.
TheHammer
I try not to ever let this happen...the freezing will mess with the properties of the paint and could cause it to lose opaqueness, thickness and blending qualities. Store them at room temp for best results.
SW Lures
X2 Hammer, if I think that we will lose heat I bring the paint where I am or to a place where I know that the temperature will stay well above freezing. I just had that happen a week ago. Just for future thoughts these places are basements, cellars, crawl spaces etc. I have mine in home made racks, this makes them easy to move. I hope you save them with the info that the others have gave you. Good luck, Dale
DoubleT
Fedex delivered some createx airbrush paint to me yesterday evening. By the time I got the package off of the front porch two of the bottles of paint were frozen solid. They are thawing now. Have any of you guys had this trouble in the past? Hope its not ruined. Thanks.
BobP
I googled this and the consensus seems to be that repeated freezing might harm the paint. That’s a pretty nebulous warning. Defrost, shake well, and see what you get.
