archery1
I bought white rubber skirting from 2 places and both arent a good white color sorta off white or greyish. I was wondering if i bought some white clothing dye if i could get the good brite white color ? or is there another option?
Walking Dead
I usually mix it with some bright white silicone. I have not seen bright whit round rubber. It is white but does appear dull like you mentioned, thus the reason for the mixing.
smalljaw
Is it rubber or silicone? I get white silicones and it is fine, but Walking Dead is absolutely correct in his assessment of white round rubber being dull. From what I've read over the years is that rubber is very hard to dye and that is why you have flat colors so I'd guess you either have to deal with it or use a silicone material for white. Walking Dead
I buy it by the roll/pound. My technique is to take a strip of the round rubber cut to the length I need and lay the white silicone on top. I then cigarette roll the two and use a skirt color or 'O' ring to hold together. Put it on the jig and then wire tie.

smalljaw
I'm not sure why they wrote that the colors are usually bright because round rubber colors are flat. You can talk to Barlows but that is just the way the rubber material is, the other alternative is go to LPO under silicone material and look at the bio-silk skirt material in the electric colors. The stuff looks, feels and acts like rubber but it is silicone but it isn't round and the electric white will be nice and bright, I know because I use it.
