biggamefish
Hey all, new to this soft plastic stuff so most of what I'll be asking probably won't make any sense at all. What are some good brand soft plastic most of you guys are using? I'm looking to mold some hand carved fish tails out of soft plastic and using Hardner to get the hardness I want. How stiff/hard can you get the soft plastic to be? Will it still be durable?
JRammit
I dont use hardener verry often, but i learned quick if you add too much the plastic will burn easily You can do a search on brand of plastic and see its an ongoing arguement.. Everyone has their opinion and thats all it boils down to
archery1
Each plastic is different. Use the salt water formula or hard if you want baits to last. Hard won't have the action as the soft will but it's more durable. if you add hardener to plastic make sure u add to virgin plastic and stir frequently when heating. bribass
exactly what archery said! try someones hard or regular formula AND their salt water version as well try them out in small amounts and see which you like. MF plastic has it covered I think for that good luck!
