Leatherhead
First I want to thank everyone who helped me in my last post , you guys gave me great advice and I am truly greatfull for that. My question now is, I have purchased a custom mold from Collins custom mill works, and it is GREAT. I want to purchase another one but cant get any response from the phone # or there Ebay site. I am by no means complaining about there customer service , just trying to be a repeat customer for a great product. Any help would be , once again, greatly appreciated . Thanks guys. EironBreaker
Do a search about topics on Shawn Collins. Great product, poor customer service. I have one of his molds, great mold. Tried to get another made for a football jig that Do-It now produces. Sent him the money, waited months and no response. I feel fortunate I get my money back out of the deal. I use the Ultra Minnow mold to make spinnerbaits. Works great. I think Collins has a hidden weight SB mold that you can buy off Ebay. That one looks interesting. Leatherhead
EironBreaker , you are right. I purchased the hidden weight mold off of ebay, trying to purchase the guppy head mold off of ebay. They advertise one day and are gone the next. EironBreaker
I would think if he has something on Ebay, you have a better chance of actually getting it. I don't know, I didn't buy mine that way. But at least if you purchase it through PayPal, you can dispute the charges, get your money back quickly and post negative feedback against him if he doesn't get you your mold. maltrout
I got a tube mold with the rattle cavity from him off eBay a couple weeks ago. It was in my mailbox 4 days later. Nice quality mold for sure.
EironBreaker
There is no doubt about the quality of his work if you get your hands on one. He must just have a certain number of molds to sell and when they are gone, that's it. I think he has buy it now sales so that my explain it. Just have to be quick when one comes up again. Kasilofchrisn
I believe he closed his eBay store. Best bet is his business email. SC3696@aol.com I always pay him via PayPal for his work but never had a problem getting what I paid for. My last mold he made me took awhile to get him to commit to do it but all the others went pretty smoothly with good communication back and forth. Once he agreed to do it and accepted payment it took him maybe 4 weeks to get it to me. eBay requires items to ship within 3 days so it was always stuff he had ready to go. I think he stays busy enough he doesn't need the best customer service as he will be bus regardless. Not the best business model but apparently it works for him. mark poulson
He had everything down thru Christmas, but lots of things were back up a couple weeks ago last time I looked. ~~~~ ~~~~ Looks he has all his listings down again. Maybe he took a vacation. I know all the Chinese vendors took a week off for the Chinese New Year. LOL. I was in Vegas from mid last week thru yesterday, and a lot of them were there gambling and having fun. LOL. Sounds like you were, too!
