mark poulson
Is that the blade size? What about hook size, and wire gauge?
smalljaw
I'm fortunate enough to have a great friend, Apdriver, and he modified an Ultra Minnow jig mold for me to not only take a swivel but also use the Eagle Claw 2831BP hook. I use the 1/4oz and 3/8oz cavities the most and I use a 3/0 hook in the 1/4oz and a 4/0 in the 3/8oz, for blades I like using a nickel #3.5 fluted willow. What makes the hook really good is it is not an Aberdeen hook, it is a little heavier but it penetrates just as easy and it has a long shank which is important on that minnow head. If I was using the pony head I'd still try to have the mold fixed to use the long shank hook.
