tukta
i'm looking for unpainted bodies of the 5&7 ive looked but can't find any was wondering if anyone may have a source
walleyeking
I don't know for sure, but I really doubt Berkley let's unpainted baits go out. I think the best you can hope for is a similar knock off bait. Others here know more about this than I do though, I'm sure they'll jump in.
MuskyGary
Look for deals on E-bay and repaint them. A lot of Ma and Pa stores sell off their inventory at cost in the winter. (Rather have cash than inventory)
Stewy3
I am looking as well for them. I emailed Berkly and they do not sell blanks was the reply. I did stop at a few local bait shops that have custom painted baits and they all said that the custom baits they have are either the " glass minnow" or the "pearl" that the painters repainted. From what I was told, you can get a break in price if you by them in bulk say in the 50 to 100 quantity. jonister
Make them! Haha I know it can be hard to perfectly match a store lure. Rapala told me the same thing. Maybe try eBay. I have noticed you can find just about any blank there. If it comes down to it, you can just make a good mold of the original and pour it out of some clear material like Alumalite or Smooth On.
mark poulson
They are only $4-$5 new, so why bother trying to find blanks?

chasn_steels
Any tips on how to strip paint from painted crank-baits? I have a ton of old cranks that I would like to strip, and repaint. Any tips would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
DaBehr
I just did a few old baits and I just washed them really well. And when dry I lightly sanded them with a magic eraser. Washed again. Dried. And then painted them base white with Wicked paint. So far they have turned out great. Some baits had those tiny metal cups in the hook areas (and screws to hold the hook in). They were often rusty so I removed them and soaked them in WD40 and cleaned them with the magic eraser. I repainted the cups with white Rustolem spray paint. When I replaced the screw in hook eyes I used a dab of 4ton epoxy on the threads. It's a lot of extra work...but what the heck it's winter! Fish_Hacker
They are $3.99 at Cabelas but I don't know if those newer ones are the same as the older ones from 7 years back. I have a bunch of them from back then when they marked them down so I scored. I saw on Ebay one guy is selling them for $2.99 each. Some of those on ebay are pretty expensive also. I like the original colors being they work awesome the way they came. My favorite is the white one with orange belly with chart top. Good luck finding them.
SW Lures
@ Chasn I maybe a tad late, but there is a member here that blast with baking soda to remove paint on lures. How this member's set up is? I don't know. Seems like a grand way to get around hangers and such. Search baking soda. Dale
SW Lures
After a search of baking soda, try blasting. It may be better.
KevinHanses
This is closest I've been able to find. It's pretty much a SR-5/6 or FS-6. I believe it's about a 5-8' diver. https://wlure.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_31&products_id=1271 Edited March 6, 2016 by KevinHanses

KevinHanses
I haven't had any problem trolling them. Sure, one here and there needs a quick tune, but bto be honest, less than expected. Lol
