PIV Patrick
Y'all - howdy. I'm new to the forum and new to pouring soft plastics. I'm hoping to get pointed in the right direction on a couple of my favorite colors. I've done a search but didn't find an answer I was looking for. What is a good motor oil recipe to make a bait that changes color to a green shade in the water? Any recipes for a scuppernong bait? Thank you! PIV Patrick
How much of the spike-it or M-F motoroil are y'all mixing with your plastic to get the best results? Does adding a little salt affect the color change? Thanks for the responses and help! I probably messed up by starting to make my own baits. I'm addicted to this hobby and my tackle budget is gonna take a hit!
Bassinfool
I have a good recipe for scuppernong that is a lot like Zooms that has that red tint to it. I'll find it and post it up for you. Also have a recipe for motor oil chartreuse as well.

MonteSS
Bears changeable motor oil I would start with 20 drops per 4 oz and add more if needed. Yes a drop or two of red to Bears Scup should work nicely.
