pete1955
I have used a floating worm for years here in NC made by a local company that is out of business now. The worm is about 6 inches but has a small flat tail not like the zoom trick worm. The key to the worm is the softness and of coarse that little flat tail. I have searched most of the mold companies but have not seen anything close to a worm like that. I was wondering if any of you folks have seen anything like that I would be interested in buying a mold for sure. Caught a lot of fish with this bait. I will try to get a picture posted of the worm I just don't have one here with me.
FATFLATTIE
Was it a Danny's Floating Worm? Or something like that? I know what style worm you are talking about and I haven't seen any molds like it for sale. Probably the closest would be some of the full round "treat worms" from bass tackle or BTS but they don't have the flat tail like that worm has. pete1955
Yes that is the style worm I am talking about. That small flat tail and the extra soft plastic made them a very good worm. IT was very soft like a one fish bait. It was much better than the zoom trick worm as it was so much easier to fish at a slow pace. Danny Joe made a worm close to what I am talking about. Worm is 6 1/4 inches inches long. The only worm I have seen that even resembles it is that 6 inch do it finesse worm.

Im not sure who molded Danny Joes if it was a custom mold or if he had haw river or another company make his for him. Ive looked and priced a custom mold to match. take care god bless
Vodkaman
That would be a very easy mold to make by hand. Dave
AZ Fisher
I agree with Vodkaman. If you searched here or Youtube for how to POP(plaster of paris) molds, I think you could use one of your existing worms to make a mold for yourself for hand pouring. You'll always have a flat side with a POP one piece mold, I haven't had much luck with a two piece POP mold. If you try this make sure you make a multiple cavity mold, should be easy with that size worm. I don't have any silicone mold making experience. POP has worked for me many times.
