dr.olds
I made a laminate plate for my 4 and 5 inch stick bate molds today. Here is a pic if the results.is there anything that I need to watch for to prevent delamination. Thanks Noel
Apdriver
Nice lam Noel. I do some hand pour lams when I don't want to mess with the twin injector and just try to keep my second color around 330. Just a bit warmer than what I shoot my single colors at. Provides good adhesion. That's about it.
Darkman
Just reiterating here, as long as you keep one warmer than the other but both warm you should not have problems, I'm new as well and that is what was told to me. Very nice pour homie, that looks killer
archery1
Never put oil .pam etc. on your lam plate. I no the worms do come off plate easier , but the oil, spray etc won't let the 2nd color attach properly . LiKE OTHER PEOPLE MENTIONED ABOVE KEEP 2ND COLOR HOTTER and u shouldn't have a problem. dr.olds
Awesome. Thanks for the good advice. I tried the mould release thing and i could basically peel the two halves apart . i noticed on first shot if the half worms tend to pull out a bit i just played with the to get them back in place . Thanks Again Noel
archery1
I think dr was sayin that he put worm oil or some kind of lube on his laminate plate to make worms come off easier. And doin that ,it left an oily worm half in mold and when he tried to shoot 2nd color the worm delaminated very easy. ? dr.olds
Ya what he said .LOL. I was thinking of polishing the face of the laminate plate so the half worms stay in place better when I separate the plates after the first shot.
