Question On Split Rings For Swivels

I am adding a ball bearing spinnerbait swivel (Worth) to some fairly large jigs, so the rings on going on a fairly thick post. I have been using the Worth spinnerbait swivels but I have been having a problem because the ring seems to be deformed after going on the post. I guess I could add aftermarket split rings that are thicker, but then I could not use the swivel. Anyone have any good ideas?

Worth makes a large eye swivel that allows for a size 4 split ring to fit.  I know Barlows sells it but they are out of stock right now.

Thanks Smalljaw!  I have Worth swivels, and I see only one American made swivel on Barlow's site. I assume that is the one to which you are referring. I guess you just use a larger split ring?

Pete, when you go to Barlows, just click on swivels and you'll see all the swivels they have, if you go down the page you'll see right next to the line grip swivels one that says "Large Eye Ball Bearing Swivel" , it is made by Worth but it isn't under the American made ball bearing swivels, it is listed by itself.

BTW, today I picked up some VMC split rings and I used them with the Worth swivel. They seem to retain their shape better than the split rings furnished with the Worth swivel.
