Vodkaman
Good video, good job. Most of the processes are similar to the way I do things. I will have to try and find the UV coating stuff locally. It is here, I have seen it before when I was looking for epoxy. Dave

SW Lures
Nice job. I enjoyed watching it. I have notice that a lot of us here at TU sells ourselves short on the painting schemes, I'm included. Nice job again. Dale

JRammit
Thanks for the tip on the rattles!... And that epoxy puddy would be handy for filling ballast holes! Good vid, thanks for sharing
MuskyGary
Loved this video! As someone starting to build my own crankbaits, this helped a lot in telling me the steps to follow.
Mountain Man 26
I thought it was great video. Thanks for sharing. Confidence in your abilities, process of construction, and your building materials, while maintaining a humble and teachable spirit all make a great lure builder. You seem to posses all.

Chuck Young
This is for anyone out there using superglue or cyanoacrylate glues. Be sure to use a booth or exhaust fan. This stuff heats up and fumes when used in any quantity at all. Maybe you have seen someone fume for fingerprints on TV. The fumes combine with organic fluids in the print and turn them into a hard crystal. Now imagine that process happening in your lungs. I dosed myself pretty good once. It is not pretty. FrogAddict
I really appreciate you sharing your techniques. I have to say, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable if I didn't use through wires on my balsa cranks. The reason is, I catch some large Northern's and they can be very hard on crank baits. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to never have to mess with through wires again but I would just be nervous if I didn't use them.
Chuck Young
Absolutely thru wire balsa lures. Balsa has no grip strength with small screws even if you superglue the hole. A simple hack saw blade glued to wood works for a jig. You need to add some weight to balsa anyway. Why not add some badly needed strength too. nedyarb
Every lure I have lost is because the line breaks. Usually the hooks straighten out first though. So I dont see a need for thru wire. Bagleys are glued in, and a lot of bigger companies just screw the line ties in without any glue, like tennesse tuffys. RayburnGuy
Balsa can be ordered in different densities. Since switching to the higher density balsa I have had no problems using barrel wrap twisted line ties and hook hangers anchored with epoxy. jawjacker
Ok guys I want to clear something up..........the big companys don't just screw a tailwire into soft wood.... there is a pilot hole drilled and filled with an epoxie paste........that soaks into the wood grain giving it a lot more strength than you can ever imagine........ I have never had a wire to pull out......
