FATFLATTIE
Are these open pour baits (one piece molds) or top pour molds (two piece molds)??
Big Ray
Hey i am still figuring this out myself. But I noticed i get air bubbles when i first get my plaatic hot. Then i try to mantain a certain temp by placing it back in the mic for ten seconds at a time. Slowly the bubbles start to dissapate. Then just try to keep it that temp because once it cools and hardens you will have to do that all over again.
jmuraw82
These are open pour bait molds I have two and only have the issue with one of them. Thank you Ray I will try that out.
FATFLATTIE
One thing that helped me was to slow down the heating process. The more slowly I heat the plastic the less micro bubbles I get. Also some batches of plastic seem to be worse than others. I use the Essential series plastisol and my last batch bubbled up bad but the one before and the one I'm on now I havent had near the problems. You can also take a spoon and scoop some of the bubbles off re too of your plastic.
smallmouthaholic
Three basic choices- 1-use a presto pot w/ stirrer 2- heat, let cool ,stir re-heat w/ a lower temp setting in 1-2 minute intervals using a micro wave 3-Use MF plastisol for consistent performance
MonteSS
I think he has voids (air pockets) not bubbles.
