txmedic033
Are you using soft plastic? Do you want the baits to sink fast?
mark poulson
I fish flukes as a reaction bait, so salt isn't important to me, since it is for helping the fish hold the bait longer. The bass grab it and turn, so I have enough time to set the hook as soon as I feel them. I like them to be as light as possible, too, so I wouldn't add salt. wannabe
Im using a medium plastic. I was thinking of the salt for helping it sink a little bit
DaveMc1
this is 100% personal preference. Did you get into this hobby to make what everyone else does or to make your own???? just try it and see if you like it.
MonteSS
I biggest bass came on a Fluke I made with me Senko formula slowly twitch thru emerging lilies. I like it to get down in the spring and dont like the way it falls with a weight or jighead. Twitch twitch and let it die. 4 oz med plastic 2 rounded tablespoon pickling or popcorn salt 1 tablespoon softener 20 drops scent
Bassinfool
I just use a beefy hook to get mine to sink faster if need be. I don't add salt or anything to mine. Normally I'm working them super quick just beneath the surface anyways.
wannabe
Thank u guys for ur legitimate answers. Especially monte. Its nice to come on here and ask a question without getting a smarta** response. Im as green as it gets and there are so many different processes im just trying to learn why and how other people do it as a starting point. Then i will figure out if i like it or not and adjust it accordingly. Thanks again and excuse my ignorance

Thanks again and excuse my ignorance Everyone here learned from someone else, and most of the time it was from someone else here on TU. I know it is true for me. So don't ever feel the need to apologize for what you don't know. If I did that, I'd never have time to make baits!
