bladesandbaits
Any idea what the material for the little "hoodie/bib" is made of ? I have a bunch of the lures that the "hoodie/bib" is old ,cracking and worn out. I have caught a ton of fish on them. I would like to try and make a few replacement "hoodies/bibs" instead of buying more lures. Thanks in advance. Regards, Blades
Basseducer
What always came to mind for me was the vinyl vertical blind looking things they use in cold storage warehouses. Don't know what they are actually called.
LimpNoodle
Do you mean the lip?
bladesandbaits
Yes sir, the lip. Basseducer. The first thing that came to mind was the curtain material. Its actually PVC material. The curtain material typical of walk in coolers/warehouse doors is to thick .080 is the minimum thickness I can find and the Lip/Hoodie is .060. I believe the srounger material is vinyl not PVC. Thanks guys. Blades
Basseducer
That's just what came to mind. I figured it would be too thick, but thought that it could be had a bit thinner.
mark poulson
I have fished scroungers for a long time, and one of the main problems with them is the lip in the longer lengths is too soft. I wind up putting some brush on crazy glue on the back to stiffen it. So maybe the thicker stuff would work, at least in terms of making the lip stiffer. bladesandbaits
I'm going to try the curtain material.I'll give some feedback as soon I have some. Thanks again! Regards, Blades
bladesandbaits
The thicker material does work well. You have to wind the bait very slow or the bait foils. Guess it might work on a heavy head (3/4 oz) but not with a 1/2 oz. These fish on the Blue Back lakes wont eat it moving slow. Thanks for all the input.
