capecodsmallie
My love for plastics is out of control. Even though I started pouring my own baits last year I still find myself buying other brands(namely slider). I just can't control myself. I'm looking around my spare room. Ive got molds everywhere, gallons of plastic waiting to be used, baits waiting to be thrown, and I just did an order for more plastic baits. I couldn't throw this much plastic in a lifetime. Please tell me I'm not the only one!
Tm Customs
Don't worry I have a dozen shoe boxes full of bags of plastic.
BigZ
Ask a woman if she has enough shoes and everything will be OK. We're the same with lures. I didn't REALLY need a full case of crankbaits...but they were cheap...and that 1000 pack of skirted double tail grubs on eBay? I didn't NEED that either... but they were watermelon seed... I guess the only way to justify reckless accumulation of plastics is to fish more....and use/lose more stuff! I have at least on truckload of stufff here...and that's freshwater.LoL. siebler_custom_baits
i got a 55 gallon rubermade of bozes of plastics i dont even use. I carry 5 binders full. I too buy large packs of grubs. It isnt very common to find my chartruse so gotta get them when i can
Tm Customs
It's too late for me but this is a warning for everyone else, stay away from lucky craft, team daiwa z and custom painted lures. I have found these addictions to be very costly, plastics on the other hand are a dime a dozen that I can almost afford. LOL
BigZ
I just have one binder, my brother got it for me for my birthday....BassPro Super Jumbo DOUBLE Deluxe worm binder. I think I have a thousand baits in it right now, it gets real heavy shore fishing. LoL. Everything is organized for once though....all 40 lbs of it...LoL. Delw
Your not the only one. I have a 22 foot cajun and the middle compartment(which was a cooler) has more plastic than you can I magine. I am guessing 50-80 lbs easy I have 2 milk crates filled with the stuff in the garage. and about 200-300 bags (1 of each)of almost every bait that they sell here in AZ. I use them to make molds and to copy colors mainly. but lately I havent been pouring as much so my fishing partner either makes them for me or I buy a few bags. What really sucked is I had to buy 4 bags of senkos for fun tourny sat night cause I didnt have time to pour them plus I was out of purple glitter. I came home with them and my daughter gave me a very funny look and kinda snickered at me. Delw

cflbasser
I'm in the same situation as you guys... More than I know what to do with. But, have you ever noticed that you seem to go back to the Old Faithful's. I'll throw every color/style in the book, but when I need to catch a fish, I tie on a black/blue worm or a watermelon red worm?
Tm Customs
CLf I find myself doing that too much, so I always take different stuff to try and leave the old faithful's home (mabey in the car) I have too much new stuff to try. I sure you guys know.
siebler_custom_baits
yep. got all sorts but in the bay i throw like 2 differnt baits mainly and in freshwater i throw choclate blues and aaronsmajics.
Will
CJ, Have you ever tried the senko-look alike plastics in the bay, if so, what size and did they work for you, what kind of retrieve did you use, and how did you rig it? On another note, you spoke of the Wal-mart pond before. Where is it, does it cost anything to fish it, do they allow kayaks? thanks.
siebler_custom_baits
walmart is just the riverbed. Come yak it with me sometime. Its free and i know the spots. I have tried senkos in the bay and they work fine weightless on the flats or criged. I had Taylor pour me some that are chart and some that resemble ghost shrimp along with a few orange for sdbay. Next time you need somebody to yak with let me know cause i go alone way too much.

Senkosam
One thing I've noticed since lurecrafting- I don't get the urge to look at fishing catologs, to browse in Walmart's fishing department, to stop off at Gander Mt. on the way home from work and see what's on sale or new in the lure dept. Having come up with fusing plastics together and trying them out on fish, keeps me occupied. Making molds for the successful ones will keep me busy in winter. Of the 40 molds I have, trying out new color combos is way overdue in various lures. Jig tying is also very important now since I have proven the effectiveness of hair and flash. I would say that soft plastic grubs are on par with tied jigheads, which has astounded me this year for many species. Even small spinnerbaits have caught fish using flash only.
